Day 15 of 21

#HealThySelf Challenge – Day 15

Yesterday’s challenge was a difficult one!  Hopefully, you trusted God and did it.  Today, is simple.  See and accept your healing now by faith.  Begin to simply LOVE FREEDOM!

Step Fifteen: LOVE it!

So many of us are comfortable in our dysfunction.  We can’t help it.  We were born into dysfunction and it is normal to us.  Though we yearn for healing, getting accustomed to righteousness and liberty with no pain is foreign.  We will have to get used to the unfamiliar once we receive healing.

Look at it this way… if you had a bum knee all of your life and had learned to adjust your ways in walking, your pain tolerance increased through forced practice and you got used to the cycle of appointments and medicines needed to live with it…THEN, the prospect of walking upright with NO pain and not ever needing to see a medical professional will be new to you.  You may crave for healing, but it will be new to you. Am I making sense?

My prayer is that you begin to accept and walk in your healing NOW while it is yet on the way.

So, on the fifteenth day’s journey to #HealThySelf, your CHALLENGE is to:

– LOVE YOUR HEALING WHILE IT IS YET HERE! Similarly to getting ready for a party in your honor, you see yourself in it, enjoying it, receiving gifts, celebrating it and flat out loving it.  That’s what you need to do!  Love your soon to be new freedom.  Where you won’t have to do what you’d always done to simply survive in life.  FREEDOM IS COMING… LOVE THE FREEDOM NOW!

#HealThySelf Prayer for the Reluctant

God, increase my faith.  Help me as I learn to love what You have for me.  I have been imprisoned for so long that I feel reluctant to see myself actually being healed.  Help my unbelief!  I love You and in You there is liberty.  Help me love the gift that You have just for me.  Help me receive my healing. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
