“Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.”
I have always loved the story of the three Hebrew boys! But you know what?I have had to ask myself repeatedly over the years whether I could do what they had done. Could I boldy and respectfully choose God’s law and not bow down to the legal system I live in even if it meant my life?
Remember your lawmakers today. This is the area that is overlooked entirely too much by those that walk in their God-given identity. Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah are proof that those that are real will have to prove that they are “about that life” when those with identity issues (especially those in power) start tripping. YOU CAN CHANGE A KING’S LAW when you obey and trust God!
Pay closer attention to what is going on around you and ask God to show you how to pray and live in your nation today. You MUST stand strong in the identity God has given you. He is holy so we must be holy EVEN if it means your life!
